World War 1

The Great War from 1914 to 1918 was a tremendous effort from Canada when it was still a young country. There were over 69, 000 Canadians killed in that war with an entire generation being scarred in one way or another. Throughout the park there are many individual memorials and a few monuments that are shown on the All Conflicts page.

Vimy Ridge Memorial Garden

On April 9, 2017 an important piece to the Canadian story was memorialized in the park. The Battle of Vimy Ridge took place 100 years earlier and hopefully this garden and monument helps to Honour those who fought and died there.
