Liberation Bell

During the Second World War the Nazi regime decided to have most of the bells in the Netherlands removed and melted down as a punishment for resistance and to prevent the bells being used as signals.

We have the bell at Remembrance Gardens for our May ceremony to commemorate The Liberation of the Netherlands. It will be a permanent shining beacon in our park, and a constant reminder of the cost of World War II.
